|---|---|
| Cleaning Bucket | WATER, both hands, 10 L, starts empty. Fill it in the bathtub, then store it on the metal rack. One was picked up as Cleaning Bucket (10.0 L clean) on Day 2. |
| 20 L Jerrycan | WATER. The prompt in the bathtub is Scoop water into the container; it shows 0.0 / 20 L when empty. |
| 1 L Bottle | WATER, empty at first (0.0 L). Pick up with E, put away with G or Q. |
| Sealed 2 L Bottle | WATER, 1.5 / 2 L, shown as clean and safe to drink. Hold F to drink. |
| Treatment Tablets | Found in the mirror cabinet on Night 0 in the 7 Tips run, and picked up again on Day 6 beside the water bottles. Used for treating water. |
| Screwdriver | TOOL. Used on screws: the prompt Undo the screw appears at the vent cover, followed by Kick the cover out (2/3). |
| Toolbox | Tip 5 of the 13 Tips video: bring the toolbox and open the vent door, to go through the second room and collect more items. |
| Bolt Cutters | TOOL. Seen on Day 4 and Day 5 in two runs, next to the objective Inspect supplies, keep defences up, and rest at night. |
| Portable Gas Stove | COOKING, both hands. It also appears as a note: "A portable gas stove" in the guide. |
| Small Brass Key | KEY. Seen near a locked door reading: the Okafors' private rooms, nothing you need in there. |
| Static Line (40 m) | MATERIAL, both hands. A coiled red and white line. |
| Battery Radio | TOOL. F switches it on or off and holding T fits fresh batteries. It shows a battery percentage and the North Relay Band. |
| Tinned food | Tinned Tomatoes (2 portions) and Tinned Corn are examples; you need a can opener, or the Spoon pass. |
Water items
Four water items show up in the footage: the blue Cleaning Bucket under the kitchen sink (10 L), the 20 L Jerrycan, the 1 L bottles and the Sealed 2 L Bottle. The first job is filling them while the taps still run; see the food and water page for the order.
On Day 2 in the long run the objective was Fill every container before the taps stop, and the counter showed Stored clean water: 141 L. On Day 6 the objective was Collect rainwater: set an open bucket on a balcony bracket, and the game adds that rainwater is untreated, which is what the tablets are for.
Tools and keys
Tools are tagged TOOL: the screwdriver (for screws and vent covers), the toolbox and the bolt cutters. A 7 Tips video title mentions finding a wrench, but we didn't see the wrench's card, so we don't list its use.
The Small Brass Key is tagged KEY. The only door we saw it near was locked and labelled as the Okafors' private rooms with nothing you need inside, so don't spend a lot of time on it.
What you can carry
The bottom right shows four numbered slots (1 to 4). Take an item with its number, put it away with Q and drop it with X. A backpack appears in its own slot with a small counter beside it, so it looks like extra carrying space, though we haven't tested how it works.
Item tips
- Read the tag on the card: WATER, TOOL, WEAPON, COOKING, KEY or MATERIAL.
- Fill every container before the taps stop; the Day 2 objective says so.
- Rainwater is untreated, so keep Treatment Tablets with your bucket.
- Keep a screwdriver or the toolbox on you before you open vent covers.
- Switch the radio off between broadcasts; it shows its battery.
