Every weapon with a stat card
| Weapon | What the item card and videos show |
|---|---|
| Frying Pan | Weapon tag, Damage 22, Reach 6.0. Held in hand on Day 7 in the 7 Tips run. |
| Kitchen Knife | Weapon tag, Damage 18, Reach 4.5. Picked up on Day 4 to Day 5 in the 13 Tips run and the long co-op run; the on-screen prompt reads MELEE IMPACT when you swing it. |
| Rolling Pin | Weapon tag, Damage 16, Reach 5.5. One of the first things on the shelves in the 13 Tips run. |
| Spoon (pass) | One spoon in hotbar slot 1 every match. Also opens tins and works as a light weapon (Roblox pass description). |
| Lucille (pass) | Barbed-wire baseball bat in your bag every match. The description warns: if you hear somebody whistling, run. |
| Deadweight (pass) | A zombie head on a stick: wide two-handed swings, and the description says it hits like the free baseball bat. |
| Shove (pass) | H pushes a player or zombie out of your way: players are knocked down for 1.5 seconds, zombies stagger. No damage. |
Where the weapons come from
Nothing in the footage hands you a weapon at the start. A beginner video by Radex Tips says you search the apartment for what you can defend yourself with and names a baseball bat, a frying pan and a hammer, and the 13 Tips run shows a rolling pin near the shelves on Night 0.
The knife and the bolt cutters turned up on Day 4 and Day 5 in two different runs, when the objective read A quiet day and then Inspect supplies, keep defences up, and rest at night. That fits the game description about scavenging and building up your apartment, but we haven't seen a fixed spawn, so treat each location as one player's run.
Do you actually need to fight?
The game's own pitch is to stay quiet as zombies fill the hallways. The tutorial teaches locking up, the peephole and the door chain before anything else, and Daniel's first advice is to keep the noise down.
When the zombies do show up they show up at the door. On Day 3 in the long co-op run the objective changed to Something is gathering in the corridor: check the peephole and prepare the entrance before they come. After the attack the next objective said furniture braces hold far better than a lock alone. A weapon matters once the barricade fails; the footage shows players walking the hallway with a pan or a knife in hand and a barred gate between them and the zombie.
Health is the other half of the fight. In the 13 Tips run, with a zombie in the Day 5 hallway, the health bar read 79 in one frame and 36 a minute later, so a fight in the corridor is not free.
Damage vs reach
The Frying Pan beats the other two on both numbers in the stat cards, so if you find one, take it. Between the other two it's a trade: the Kitchen Knife hits harder (18 against 16) and the Rolling Pin reaches farther (5.5 against 4.5). We don't know the swing speed, so we can't say which is faster in practice.
Weapon tips
- Check the item card: it shows Damage and Reach for anything tagged Weapon.
- Take the Frying Pan if you see one; it's the best stat line we've seen (22 damage, 6.0 reach).
- Brace the door first. The game's own Day 3 hint says furniture braces beat a lock alone.
- Your four slots are shared with water and tools, so don't fill them with three weapons.
- Shove only pushes; it never damages.
FAQ
What is the best weapon in 30 Floors Up?
Of the cards we've read, the Frying Pan: Damage 22 and Reach 6.0, ahead of the Kitchen Knife (18 / 4.5) and the Rolling Pin (16 / 5.5).
Do you start with a weapon?
Not in the footage we checked. The free baseball bat is mentioned in the game pass descriptions, but the beginner runs find their first weapon in the apartment.
What does Reach mean?
It's the second number on the item card next to Damage. A higher number is a longer swing; the game doesn't explain the unit.
Does the Spoon pass kill zombies?
The description calls it a light weapon. It's meant mainly for eating tinned food without a can opener.
Can you push zombies away?
Yes, with the Shove game pass (H): zombies stagger, players are knocked back for 1.5 seconds, and nothing takes damage.
Can you avoid fighting completely?
The game is built around staying quiet and keeping the entrance locked, but at least one attack at the door happens by Day 3 in the footage.
